Went straight to the point without a lot of fancy talk. Also has how to train your dog to do other things. Has real life stories to illustrate ideas. I couldn’t put the book down and read the whole thing in one sitting.

I came across this book when I was preparing to get my first puppy. The book is broken up in a way that makes it a quick and easy yet very informative read. It contains tips and hints in addition to paragraphs of information, so it’s easier to digest. I like that it focused on building a strong relationship with your dog and emphasized positive reinforcement. It also dispels the myth that crate training is a negative experience for the dog. A worthwhile read.

In frustration I checked this book out at the library and feel in love with it. The dog whisperer has nothing on this lady. Why in the world arn’t there more books like these? They’re practical, easy to follow, and it’s great for training to do tricks on top of housetraining. Worth every penny!
